See all blog posts Curly Hair Awesomeness: 7 Super Cute Ways to Style Your Hair For The Week

Have you ever seen those types of perfect curls where you can't resist just reaching out and grabbing a piece of the person's hair to give a little tug and make sure that it's humanly possible to have hair that heavenly? Well, this probably happens to my friend, Carrie, on a daily basis. I've asked her to model a few hairstyles that you could easily imitate for every day of the week! And no worries straight/wavy haired gals, you don't need to be born with a head of naturally springy curls to pull these off--just whip out your BFF, Ms. Hot Tools.

Prep Time: 1 Minute
For this simple, air-dry-and-go look, Carrie massages in some Moroccanoil hair cream to enhance her natural hairdo. For straight-haired ladies like myself, obviously the prep time would be a lot longer for us, but to pull this off, I would alternate curls with different-sized barrel curling irons, like my faves: a Hot Tools 1" and a Hot Tools 5/8." The smaller the barrel, the kinkier curls you'll get.

You might be shocked to believe that her go-to curly hairstyle actually involves a curling iron! But to hear her out, she doesn't re-curl her entire head. She uses a 1" curling iron to tame a few of those puppies--especially on the top, which is necessary on days you want it to look more polished. This is a trick that I pull off with my straight hair too! I almost never fully curl all the way around (who has the time?!)-- I fake it by curling the top and sort of scrunching underneath with a texturizing hairspray.

Carrie entrusts her handy Chi straightener to get her strands smooth and silky (which goes to show a pricey, but reliable hair tool is one of the best investments you can make). She uses the benefit of natural volume that her curls give her by bending the ends to give it a lush bounce. Chi's Straight Guard is also her little bottle of love that she can't live without. P.S. Don't you just love the headband?

Bangs can be hard to pull off when you have curly hair, but sometimes Carrie does a neat little trick of straightening them about a bit so they look more like soft bangs and less like little antennae! Sweep them to the side so just in case humidity or sweat slowly starts curling them back up into its natural form, it'll be out of your eyes.

Rocking an adorable side pony or half-and-half-'do for curly girls can be a quick everyday style for any occasion. For the pony, let wispy pieces in the front frame your face and pull all your hair to the side so everyone can check our your pretty locks. These are two of my favorite ideas for straight-haired gals who want to give some life to their ponytails and half-up hairdos too.

No matter what, all her looks always need a spritz of hairspray to get through the day. Her beauty weapon of choice is Paul Mitchell, which she claims gives a lovely strong hold--but not stiff--feel.

Which of these hairstyles do you give a thumbs up to? Do you know of another style curly girls can rock particularly well? Have you tried any of the products she uses and do you have your own favorites?
