4 Cute Ways To Style Your Bangs

A few of us here at Refinery29 really do love our fringe, and while we're loyal to the look, we sometimes feel stuck on how to style our bangs. To remedy our hair jam, we teamed up with Gaelle Drevet of Pixie Market—we're big fans of her amazing e-boutique—to get the scoop on how Drevet and Co. styled their models' bangs for a recent shoot. Drevet says she finds inspiration in everything from Grease to Ali McGraw and Talitha Getty. So, go ahead and bang it out!

The Pin-Straight—Straight, sleek bangs give an edge to a chin length bob or long locks alike. For best results, start with a smoothing shampoo and conditioner and finish with a smoothing cream.

Shu Uemura Shusu Sleek Smoothing Shampoo ($45), Conditioner, $55, and Smoothing Treatment, $65, all available next week at Shu Uemura; TIGI Rockaholic Rock My World Stellar Smoothing Cream, $19.95, for availability, visit Tigi Haircare.

The Swoop— Create a swoop effect by loosely pinning your bangs to the side, then weave a wire inside a low braid and shape it however you choose. Use a dry shampoo and a texturizing pomade to keep hair manageable.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo, $18, available at Sephora; Malin + Goetz Hair Pomade, $20, available at Malin + Goetz.

The Sexy '70s—Add a hippy, '70s feel to loose, flowing hair by parting your bangs down the middle and flat-ironing them in place.

Rsession Tools Pin Point Straightening Iron, $79, available at Rsession Tools; Goody brushes, starting at $5, available at Walmart.

The Elvis—Get Elvis-esque by applying a strong hold gel. Next, tease back your bangs and secure them with a few bobby pins. Pull hair back into a ponytail and spray the finished look.
